Decadent black cotton velvet 1930s evening jacket with quilted collar and cuffs
This sumptuous vintage 1930s art deco era evening jacket has been lovingly stored by the original owner's family, who informed us that this was worn for the owner's 21st birthday in 1933!
It looks beautiful on, and is a simple yet wearable style, with large statement quilted collars and cuffs, and a loose fit with no fastenings and gently flared sleeves towards the cuffs.
At the back of the collar there are sunray seams emanating from the neckline, and the jacket is fully lined inside in deep damson art silk fabric.
best fit approx UK 10/12
measures 36" long down the centre back
14.5" across the shoulders
free size bust/waist/hips
It feels barely worn and is in excellent shape - on very close inspection there is a tiny pinhead sized hole at the back of the neck at one of the sunray seams, but you'll barely notice it without a microscope!
