Beautiful original vintage 1940s day dress in pale avocado green and white paisley print cotton/possibly rayon mix weave fabric. Like many dresses of the era, this has been nicely home or dressmaker made, and is in great shape for its age.
Classic style of the era with short sleeves, open lapels and small chest pocket to the left bust. Popper fastening to the waist, with cream decorative buttons. Metal zip to the side seam, and nipped seamed waist with original matching hook fastening belt with double button trim.
Flared skirt with stitched down pleats which open out into the length of the skirt at the front, and inverted pleat to the centre back.
