Stunning vintage 1950s day dress in cobalt blue, black and brown abstract rose print fabric which feels like a cotton/viscose mix.
Wonderful large shawl collar and lapels, bracelet length sleeves and two very unusual abstract arty buttons to fasten at the front of the bodice.
Fitted seamed waist and full skirt with origami pleated details to the hips.
The skirt is lined in stiffened calico fabric to maintain the tulip shape. The bodice is lined in black acetate and the dress fastens with a metal zip to the side seam.
