in terylene, the first polyester fibre!
Mod vintage 1960's tie by Prova (BHS), in dark brown terylene fabric.
Terylene was the first polyester fibre. Invented in the 1940's, it was very popular for garments in the sixties and seventies, as it was very hard-wearing and long-lasting - a fact illustrated by this smart tie!
Dark brown fairly narrow tie with deco inspired bright lime green and orange starburst design.
Labelled on the reverse "Prova, terylene" with washing instructions.
- 2 3/4" wide at widest point
In great shape, no problems.
