Elegant vintage 100% rayon dress by the covetable, collectable label Phool - a label which dates back to 1972 and was one of the very first brands to introduce original ethnic clothing to the UK in the form of stunning block printed Indian cotton dresses.
This piece dating from the late 1970s/early 1980s has a lot of the hallmarks of a classic Phool dress, but instead of indian block printing it features a lovely arts and crafts inspired pattern of abstract flowers and foliage in muted yet colourful tones of orange, yellow, green, blue and purple.
Contrast patterned panels to the curved yoke at the shoulders/back and hem, and another patterned panel to the front bodice, with three buttons to fasten at the side of the panel. Long sleeves with gathered buttoned cuffs. Deep pink trim to the neckline, shoulder yoke and bodice.
Flared shape which can be worn as is, or cinched in with the original tie belt at the waist.
